Q: How long does it take to receive my medical marijuana card?

A: Once you receive approval for your medical marijuana card from Dr. Tirmal, your application should be submitted to the Florida Department of Health. It’s very important to make sure that your application is completed properly when submitting it or else you will face an extended delay in the approval process.

Once the Florida Department of Health receives your application, it can take 14 to 21 days to process your application. If you send your application in via traditional mail, it can take and additional 10-15 days processing time.

Once your application has been processed, you will receive your confirmation of approval via e-mail. When you have your approval e-mail, you will be able to purchase medical marijuana from any Florida dispensary.

Q: How Do I Purchase My Medical Marijuana?

A: Once you have received your approval email from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), you will be able to contact one of the licensed medical treatment centers (also known as dispensaries) and fill your order there.
