How much does it cost?

Do I receive my medical marijuana recommendation during my evaluation visit?
Yes! If you are approved for medical marijuana during your visit, Dr. Tirmal will give you your patient ID number on the Medical Marijuana Registry and enter recommendations into the registry for Low THC Cannabis, Medical Marijuana, and smokeable marijuana if desired.
It's important to note that submitting an incomplete application or providing incomplete information will delay the processing.
What is the processing time for my medical marijuana card?
The current processing time for a Florida Medical Marijuana Card is 14-21 days from the time the Florida Department of Health receives your application. If you are submitting an application by mail, please allow an additional 10-15 days for the processing of your application.
Once your application is processed, you will receive confirmation of your approval by email. Once you are notified of approval by email, you are free to purchase medical marijuana from any authorized medical marijuana Florida dispensary.
Please note that submitting an application that is incomplete or has incorrect information in it will increase the amount of time required to process your approval.
How do I purchase my medical marijuana?
Once you have received your approval notice by email from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), you can then contact one of the licensed medical marijuana treatment centers (also known as dispensaries) and fill your medical marijuana order.
Note that some medical marijuana Florida dispensaries allow your order to be placed online with delivery service to your preferred address.
Do I have to be concerned about any privacy issues when I receive an evaluation or a recommendation?
No, your evaluation visit and your medical information are protected under the privacy laws of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). The only people who will have access to your records are those people who you authorize to access them.
How much does it cost to get my medical marijuana card?
If you are approved for a medical marijuana card, your initial cost with Dr. Tirmal will be $140. This covers your medical marijuana Florida certification and medicinal cannabis recommendations.
Your certification will be valid for 210 days and should be renewed by the date of expiration noted on your card. Re-evaluation and re-certification for existing medical marijuana card patients of Dr. Tirmal will cost $110.
You should also note that the Office of Medical Marijuana Use charges an application fee of $75 (plus a $2.75 processing fee). This is paid directly to the Office of Medical Marijuana Use and not to Dr. Tirmal.
Once services are rendered, payment is due. All payments are final. No refunds will be provided.
